Praire Hills Jr HS, Markham, IllinoisMarkham, Illinois – Prairie Hills Jr High
To maximize the amount of natural light penetrating the building and connect to the outdoors, this new 200,000 sf building features an aluminum curtain wall on its south facing side. SAFTIFIRST supplied SuperLite II-XL 120 IGU in SAFTIfire CW Framing. The fire resistive glazing was insulated with PPG Solarblue and PPG Solarban 60.

AJC Architects of Salt Lake City, Utah looked to SAFTI FIRST when it came time to renovate the media center and build a new counseling center. The proximity of a new student commons adjacent to the 1933 Hutchins Hall posed a unique challenge. Codes required a 2 hour fire rated barrier. SAFTI FIRST installed clear SuperLite II-XL 120 units within fire resistive framing, which preserved views of stained glass windows. Read more…

EHDD transformed a 1915 pier into a 330,000 sf indoor/outdoor campus. To optimize daylight and views, the designers specified fire rated glass for the exterior doors so that people evacuating the site via the piers. SAFTIFIRST supplied a total of 19 pairs of 45-minute steel doors. Read more…
